A True Sunday Funday

Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of co-planning and co-hosting a picnic in the park for friends with my friend Claude! When I tell you this was YEARS in the making! I first met Claude 13-14 years ago while helping plan one of my best friend's weddings. Claude is a lawyer by trade but left practicing to pursue creative endeavors and raise her young family. Claude designed the invitations for the wedding and we've stayed in touch since promising to combine our creatives into an event or styled shoot. More recently, I've been shooting regularly for Claude for her blog A House on Guilford, where she chronicles and shares all things decor, party planning, tablescape and good life living!! Her aesthetic and attention to detail is UNMATCHED!!

When she suggested we finally get together to put a picnic together, I said, "Yes, we have to!" We agreed on a theme, location, shared a Pinterest of ideas, invited a handful of girlfriends and our picnic in the park was born and it was AH-mazing!!! We kept the concept a surprise and watched our friends delight in the decor. We drank, ate, talked and shared in an activity. I don't know on how many random social pages we were on because SO many people stopped to take pictures and admire the set-up but we were in our own little bubble.

I'm looking to continue shooting for Claude but maybe we'll do a few more of these! Please check out her website and Instagram. She creates these experiences for others all the time!
